中心簡介

本中心設立之目的為支援校內各系所單位運用電子計算機之教學與研究,提供計算機之資源與技術諮詢,協助學校建立整體校務行政資訊系統,並推廣資訊教育與計算機之應用。

中心直屬校長,為一級單位。中心內設置主任一人,由校長聘任本校學有專精之教授擔任。其下分為系統組、校務資訊組與網路組三個組別,各司其職,為本校師生與教職員提供資訊服務。

系統組

本組負責建置服務全校之網路伺服器與雲端服務研究平台,提供校園網路硬碟、電子郵件、Proxy、DNS與個人網頁建置服務。本校相關系統資料備份與他校合作,簽署異地備援計劃成果卓越,其他相關工作如下:

• 伺服系統建置管理與維護。
• 教職員暨學生郵件系統規劃建置與管理維護。
• 校園網域與代理伺服器管理與維護。
• 系所單位與學生社團網頁空間設定與維護。
• 選課系統平台建置與負載平衡設定。
• 系所單位主機代管與建置。
• 資訊安全管理制度(ISMS)之建置與複覈。
• MATLAB軟體採購與更新維護管理。
• 資訊安全事件之管理與通報。
• 伺服器暨其他資訊設備採購。

 

校務資訊組

本組主要任務為開發與維護管理校務系統,包含學生與教職員工之相關事宜電腦化與資料處理備份,提供選課服務、網路大學、e-Portfolio與意見反應服務,相關工作如下:

• 資訊系統程式開發與維護。
• 電腦教室及遠距教學教室管理。
• 建置及維護學校網站。
• 資料庫備份、同步、管理、彙整。
• 業務相關的軟硬體採購。
• 服務教師及學生系統相關的操作與諮詢。

 

網路組

本組負責校園網路建置與維護,本校骨幹為Fiber-Ethernet連接9棟大樓,對外頻寬為1GB,另有ADSL三條做其他網路支援,無線網路於教學區提供802.11b/g/a連線服務並加入TANET無線網路漫遊計劃,宿舍網路提供100MB連接埠,本組另外與他校合作同步遠距教學多年並加入TANET E-NUM計劃建置400門網路電話,相關工作如下:

• 校園骨幹網路維護。
• 各系所網路建置、維護、管理。
• 宿舍網路建置、維護、管理。
• 全校無線網路建置、維護、管理。
• 校園無線網路校際連線漫遊建置、維護、管理。
• 校園網路管理系統開發。
• 全校網路流量管理、統計分析。
• 校園語音電話系統建置、維護、管理。
• 遠距教學規劃、建置、設施、環境及課程管理規劃。
• 處理全校網路相關問題。
• 支援各單位演講、來訪、會議及課程業務。
• 協助管理、設定負責之演講廳各項設施。
• 支援校園各項突發狀況協助處理。
• 中心機房建置、維護、管理。

 

 

In order to support teaching, research and administration, the Computing Centre provides services of computing facilities, technical support and consultancy for students and staff of Tatung University. It also promotes training and education on information technology (IT) and application.
The Centre subordinates the President of the University, and the Director is appointed by him. There are three divisions of system, administration and network, offering various services.

System Division

The division is responsible for maintaining all servers and cloud computing platform. It maintains campus hard disc systems, mail servers, proxy servers, DNS, and websites and conduct co-operation with other universities and organizations. Details of the tasks of this division are described as follows.

• Maintenance of system servers
• Maintenance of mail servers for staff and students
• Management of proxy servers
• Maintenance of websites for all departments, student clubs and university administration
• Management of student enrollment
• Maintenance of servers belonging to research institutions
• Establishing information security management system (ISMS) and security auditing
• Maintenance of MATLAB and other software
• Notification (to TW CERT) on security incidents
• Purchase of computer facilities

 

Administration Division

The division is responsible for the development and maintenance of information systems for university administration, teaching and research affairs, and student affairs. It provides services of backup, maintains cyber university, and carries out e-Portfolio. It also plans future development of the Centre and responses to all suggestions and reclamation of the Centre. Details of the services provided by this division are described as follows.

• Development and maintenance of university management information system。
• Management of computer rooms and distance learning systems
• Development and maintenance university website
• Data backup
• Procurement of hardware and software
• System service and consultancy for staff and students

 

Network Division

The division is responsible for campus network and its maintenance. There is a 1-gigabit Fiber-Ethernet as backbone of the university network, connecting all 9 buildings of the campus. In addition, there are 3 ADSLs supporting special applications. Wireless LAN is everywhere in the campus available, providing 802.11b/g/a connection and roaming within the Taiwan academic network, TANET. In the dormitory, a 100MB-connection is available. The Computing Centre together with other universities provides distance learning services and provides 400 net phones within the TANET E-NUM Project. Details of the tasks of this division are described as follows.

• Maintenance of the campus backbone
• Deployment and management of networks in all departments and institutions
• Deployment and management of networks in student dormitories
• Deployment and management of campus wireless network
• Providing roaming services in the campus
• Development of campus network management system
• Monitoring net flow, issuing status, and making flow analysis
• Management of VOIP phones
• Planning and management of distance learning
• Troubleshooting network problems
• Support for workshops and conferences
• Assistance for the management of facilities in the conference halls and classrooms
• Managing information incidents and solving problems related to information security
• Planning and management of the facilities in the Computing Centre
